Training Camp & Local Outreach
Training Camp and Local Outreach is an annual program organized by MISI Club, a da'wah and community services club under the supervision of CENSERVE, Student Affairs and Development Division (STADD).
This program aims to give the participants an experience and preparation before going to the outreach programme in Sabah and Sarawak. Ultimately, this programme functions as a quality assurance mechanism for the MISI Club. By rigorously preparing volunteers through immersive modules, we are able to minimize the risk of cultural friction, especially during outreach programmes in Sabah, which will help in maximizing the potential for meaningful dakwah.
Equipped with modules that help students enhance their social skills by learning the correct way to address the locals, maintaining socio-cultural decorum and an in-depth understanding of the villagers. This programme guarantees that the volunteers, IIUM students that we deploy, represent the highest standard of IIUM’s student leadership which are competent, empathetic and culturally refined.
